I don't know about you, but I am tired of all of the gurus who promise that they are going to make you rich – if you buy their latest internet marketing book.  It seems that there is another new one popping up every day, and you know what they have in common?  They won't make you rich.  The truth is, YOU are the only one who can make yourself rich.  It all comes down to your hard work, determination, and most importantly – FOCUS.    I remember back to when I was getting started in internet marketing, I was always excited about the next great internet marketing book. 

For the first year or so, when an expert would come out with a new book I would buy it and immediately implement what I read.  Unfortunately, I was too excited about learning and not as focused on succeeding.  Before I could even finish implementing the strategy from the internet marketing book that I just paid good money for, I was buying a new book and moving on to the new and "better" strategy.  I spent a lot of money and made VERY little in the process.

Luckily, I finally found the right internet marketing book.  It wasn't that it had the best system or strategy (in truth, there is no "best" system, but that's off topic…), it was one line in the book that stuck with me.  To paraphrase, it said that it didn't matter what system I picked, but I had to pick one and stick with it!  I took the author's advice and I chose one system and I kept at it.  Remarkably, it was about two months later when I started to taste internet marketing success for the first time.  One of the websites that I had previously created earned $500 one month.  While it doesn't sound like much, I realized that I could make money online and my confidence grew.  I also had a glimpse of what worked, so I decided to see if it would work again.  I made a similar site and had similar success.  I am still setting up similar sites and now I am making some pretty good money – all because I finally stuck with a plan.
